Semester Scholarships

THE DEADLINE FOR each Fall SEMESTER SCHOLARSHIPS IS  August 10th.
The DEADLINE for each SPRING semester is  
December 31st.

NO LATE SIGN UPS WILL BE ACCEPTED. PLEASE CHECK BACK EACH SEMESTER AND REAPPLY.
ALL students that graduate from Frontenac High School will receive a scholarship of $150 per semester for up to 4 years, if they choose to continue on to obtain a post-secondary education. The only thing that students need to do to obtain this scholarship is to sign-up for the scholarship via the link below. Deadlines to sign-up will be posted per semester.

Service Scholarship

The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize students who have demonstrated extraordinary service to others and made a difference by volunteering. It is the desire of the Frontenac Education Foundation that through this recognition, students will inspire others to follow their example of service and volunteerism. The award will be given to deserving students as selected by the scholarship committee. Scholarships range from $500 – $1,500.
Criteria to apply is:
  • Be a senior at Frontenac High School and be eligible to graduate in May of senior year
  • Apply by April 1 and application completed online. Please be sure to check the grammar before submitting.
  • Demonstrate a clear record of commitment to voluntary service, personal and school-organized projects.
  • Explain clearly the personal growth that has been gained through high school service project experience.
  • Plan to attend a post-secondary institution and apply the scholarship to any accredited post-secondary program within three semesters of high school graduation.

Paul Hutsey Scholarship

Paul Hutsey Scholarship

The Paul Hutsey Scholarship is awarded to the recipients of the KSHSAA Citizenship Award. The male and female recipients are selected by the teachers & announced at High School Graduation in May. The funds associated with this scholarship are given in Paul Hutsey’s name because of his strong belief in character education.
*Funds are disbursed the following August
Teachers choose based off of the following criteria:
​1. Respect
  • ​Shows respect at all times for the Flag, our National Anthem & the Constitution
  • Shows respect for the students and the citizens of the school and community
  • Respects both public and private property
  • Shows respect for the student and adult leaders in the school and community
  • Demonstrates a tolerance and respect for the beliefs and rights of others
​2. Responsibility
  • Demonstrates the willingness to assume citizenship responsibilities in school and the community
  • Works to build school pride through active participation in projects that publicize, honor or beautify the school
  • Displays good sportsmanship whether as a participant or spectator
  • Is friendly toward new students and encourages them to become involved in school activities​
3.  Reverence
  • Shows reverence, concern and respect for the wellbeing of others
